“Us at Home” is a digital installation featuring original videos created by the community for the community. The project explores what the phrase “Stay at Home” means to different people, and how the four walls around us are just the beginning of the conversation. Through this project, we wanted to increase involvement in the arts in Saskatoon through a collaboration with youth, community members and local artists.
Participants from each community group were invited to submit a short video exploring how their life has changed during the quarantine. Participants received mentorship and guidance by 25th Street Theatre artists, including two Zoom workshops: A Digital Storytelling Workshop by Yulissa Campos & S.E. Grummett and a
DIY Filming & Editing Techniques by Jane Revae McWhirter and S.E. Grummett. The focus of the creation process was to make video-making and editing techniques accessible and fun.

The videos were also included in an outdoor multimedia installation on Broadway Avenue as part of the “This is Not That” Festival. The tiny-home is on display in front of Victoria School each evening from 5:00pm to 9:00pm on July 30th – August 8th.
