Curbside Buskers

Curbside Buskers are favored entertainment amongst our patrons who love to soak up the street scene, people-watch, or catch a bit of excitement between theatre shows.

All Buskers will be required to sign a contract agreeing to the rules, regulations, and hours of the Fringe and obtain their Fringe Photo ID upon arrival at the site. Fringe Busker ID must be worn or openly displayed while participating as a Busker.

All buskers are accepted on a first come, first served basis; there are no limits on the number of buskers offering similar performances or products. Buskers are not required to be in operation for the entirety of festival hours or dates. All prices include GST. Payment must be received to hold your place within the limited numbers accepted in each category.

All Performance Buskers are eligble to participate in our "Open Stage". Stand out from the crowd with a 15-30 minute spot on the Outdoor Stage in the Beverage Garden. Daily first come, first served sign up.

Performance Busking License (limit 100) $60

• Performance Busking is deemed to be any type of artistic performance
• Groups may apply for one license as an ensemble
• Performance Buskers will be permitted on Broadway Avenue with the exception of the intersections
• Please note on your application if you require a space larger than 5x5 feet

Craft Busking License (limit 50) $95/person

• Craft Busker Licenses are sold to individuals only. Only one person may be designated as the seller on each license. Relief assistance to watch over inventory for short breaks (less than 5 minutes) is allowed but no selling may be done by this person.
• For small quantities (maximum 30 pieces on display) of hand-crafted works of art or on-site created work
• Sale is by DONATIONS ONLY. No prices may be posted. Verbal suggestion of value is allowed but expect to barter with the customer. If you prefer a set price for your goods please check out becoming a Fringe Vendor.
• Craft Buskers are permitted on Broadway Avenue with the exception of the intersections.
• Must be able to set up and remove entire display without the use of a vehicle or multiple trips

KidsFringe Performance & Craft Busking Licenses (limit 30) $25

• Children only, age 12 and under. If any member of the group is age 13 or over you must apply for a regular Performance or Craft Busker License above.
• Guidelines and restrictions apply from applicable descriptions above.
• Adult supervision required at all times.
• It is recommended KidsFringe participants cease their activities at 9pm .

All Busker Licenses are non-refundable and non-transferable.
